The power lift gate is an option and wish I had it for my 2011 Edge, However, at that time, it came with t;he navigation system at an extra cost of $1500.00 Wife can handle the lift gate so skipped that choice.
You’re right, adding options can quickly add to the bottom line of any car purchase, but we thought it was fair to point out, as we said in our Road Test, “not having a power lift gate can pose a problem.” In all of our road tests, we’ll be reviewing the specific model provided by the manufacturer. The version we had did not have a power lift gate. As is the case with audio and video road tests from just about every source, there isn’t time to list all of the options and possible configurations. That’s why, at the end of our road test we said “For more on the Ford Edge, check out what our friends at Consumer Guide Automotive have to say on their Daily Drive website.” And, as you see on the Daily Drive page hosting our video, there is a specific link to their complete review with all of the standard features, options and pricing listed. Hopefully, the combination of our video review and Consumer Guide Automotive’s complete details for all of the models will not only give a quick “real world” overview but, additionally, answer any questions. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video.
