Just loved hearing you folks on the radio again. MY wish for the New Year? That the afternoon slot now occupied by another couple be given to the two of you. I realize you may not be interested in a full-time gig, but you do it SO well. If I may be a bit analytical, I think your show ‘works’ because you both clearly understand the idea of broadcasting TOGETHER. That is not an easily learned skill, and not all radio couples have mastered it. Some seem more intent on trampling over each other, putting the other one down or one-upping each other – the two of you are exceptionally good at the ‘flow’ of a program, which makes it exceedingly pleasant and interesting to listen to. I’m not sayin’ – I’m jes’ sayin’…………………..
Very well said, @Karen Bushy ~ I completely agree … while I really like the husband … the wife? Not NEARLY as much as I like the husband … she talks over people all the time – VERY rude on her part & VERY frustrating for me to the point where I turn them off & that is NOT what WGN wants to hear at this point. Note to ALL WGN on-air personalities, and there are a few of you, (mostly men, but one other woman) I won’t even mention your names because I really like you all – when you ask a question of your guest or a caller PLEASE wait until they are completely done responding before speaking again … I will really appreciate it! The BEST on-air personality listener on WGN besides Steve & Johnnie? Bill Leff … he is a fabulous listener. Thanks Bill!!! I just know the others can do & be better.
